Time Zones

There is no universal standard for the application of Time Zones and it is left up to each country or region to decide how far in advance or behind UTC they wish to be. Generally speaking a time zone happens for every 15° of rotation around the Earth (a difference of 1 hour).

The time in a particular part of a time zone might be altered in the summer months by the application of Daylight Savings Time.
