FAT Date Component

The date in FAT takes two bytes which contain 3 embedded integer numbers. The date component breaks down in the following manner:

• Day - bits 0 to 4 can have a value between 1 and 31
• Month - bits 5 to 8 can have a value between 1 and 12
• Year - bits 9 to 15 can have a value between 0 and 127. The FAT epoch year of 1980 is added to this value to give the year.
